Default Roll cage is about done, take a peek..

Hey guys,

Just got back from my Chassis guy's place to snap some pics of the cage. I was kicked off the local track this past season, so I figured it was time to get the cage so I don't get hasseled. I ordered an 8pt S&W chromoly prebent cage for the SC, yes they have one. Unfortunately it didn't fit as well as we wanted so we modified it a bit.
He does amazing work and it looks so clean. Very hard to see if you were sitting next to me at a stop light, so it's not intrusive at all. Take a look at some of the pics and let me know what you think.

He is pretty much a domestic guy but really likes my car and all the people that came in the shop, love it!
Don't see to many Lexus with cages

Don't know what your plans are for the car, but wrapping the bars in leather or tan vinyl would look nice if you ever decide to reinstall the interior.

The swing outs are awesome!!! You can just unbolt the bottom bolt and take the entire arm out for street driving Part of my sales pitch for the wifey she doesn't have to climb in and out now.

Thanks J, we'll have to do a side by side in TX

I'm not sure what the plans will be for dressing the cage up, still have to think about that one.

Right now, my biggest decision, which of late, has been sooo frustrating is which racing seats to go with. I need your guys opinions. I'm so torn on this. I'm going with a Cobra seat, sat in every manufacturers seats at SEMA and these were by far the most comfortable and well built seat.
The dilema, black or tan???? Cobra is one of the only seat makers that offers Tan. My only fears are that it would get dirty too easy and show marks, and the tan won't match properly.

Take a look

or black

No, it comes as unpainted chromoly bars and it's built/put together/welded while inside the car. Just have to gut the interior, i.e. headliner, panels, seats, etc..

insane...car looks amazing...

I'd go with black/charcoal seat you showed...it won't be too bad looking with your tan interior...and plus you won't have to worry about any spots that'll show up on the tan...

I say try to locate AAR BASIC-HD. Those are some sweet seats! But only available from Japan. I know of a company that takes requests on special parts from Japan.

Very nice. It looks kinda wierd being in a Lexus, but I guess if you want more than one pass at the tracks before you get the boot, that's what you gotta do. Don't you need a 'chute too? You're getting awfully close to the 9's.
