I have a 92 sc300 and a wrecked 96 sc400. So yesterday I decide to take some parts from the 400 to install in the 300. I install the nakamishi radio and ac controls. The stero sounds great but now i hear the statice from the distributer from the speakers. Man was I pissed! And also for some particular reson on the ac controls I cant control the fan speed. I i turn on the ac its always on full blast. The indicator bars move up or down but the fan stays at the same speed.
Has anybody done this before? Is there a remidy or will I have to swap my old parts back?

The climate control isn't working because you're using a '96 control on a '92 car. The systems are different. The good news is that the difference is in the circuitry, not the screen.
So if you swapped the ac control because the 96 screen is not blacked out like your 92 screen, here's what you can do:
Take them both and crack them open. Separate the screens from the back housing and unplug them. Put the 96 screen on the 92 housing and circuitry. Put it all back together and you're good to go.
It will work like the stock ac should but with your nice new screen.
Good luck!

So there shouldent be an issue with using an ac control from a 1996 sc400 into a 1992 sc300 right? perhaps my ac controls from the 400 were defective. I will see later on this weekend if it works if i swap them back.
Also does nanybody know were and how i can get a filter so that I wont be hearing the static from the distributor in my speakers? It get rear annoying.
