Default Black pearl emblems on SC

There is no SC300 black pearl emblem kit at Lexus.. which kit matches up as far as size for the front/rear emblems - or are they all the same?

I believe Testors makes a good black pearl paint, but I would recommend a non-Testors clearcoat, like Duplicolor high temp CC. A can of each should do the job for less than $8

There are a few good threads where other folks have done this (note this thread was just painted black, but when pics were there it looked very good)

Mine are gold, do I need to prep the badges by sanding them or something, or can I go straight to spraying.

Why not prep em? Hit em with some 200 or 320 real quick and you're good

Stop making me jealous Streetking lol

Need to buy some paint... thinking of using a Tamiya paint (it's a black pearl finish that I used on one of my R34 GTR's lol)

paint it!!! Very Easy, took 1 hour to take it off carefully and let the paint dry for at least one day! Save yourself some 200+ dollars from Lexus dealer.

I painted mine with that new black plastic paint from Krylon. I also cleared them.

I used soap and water and an old credit card to remove them. There are pegs that go through your bumper though, so be careful.

Which in my opinion, is the only way to do this. Do you know what model you Lexus you purchased them for? I am hoping to get a set that matches in size to the stock emblems.

Duuuuuuuuude! Call Lexus, any dealer you like, and ask for whatever it is you want. If you have an SC300 ask for SC300 black pearl emblems, if you have an SC400, ask for that model...if you have an LS, ask for that one....it's really not that hard to call the dealer and say, "I want such and such item and I'm willing to give you a lot of money for it"...
