Default alternative repair manual

and

and

http://www.storesonline.com/site/573...uct/0801979145 (this one seems promising)

and

http://www.storesonline.com/site/573...uct/0801979234 (from 95 to 99 but I'd bet it can be used on 92's to 94's also)

anyone try any one of these? it's even got a picture of the SC400 on the cover on the 1st one.

I haven't seen this one at my local autozone or R&S strauss or sears...

especially the shop edition it looks good and a much cheaper alternative to the factory manuals @ $200 bucks.

I bought lexus issued factory manuals 1 and 2 for $55 at abebooks.com, you might want to check there for a deal.

Default 55 only?

did you get it on sale there b/c i'm looking right now and they're selling it for $274

are the repair manuals from 92-97 compatible? the 94 one seems more rare and expensive compared other years.

Don't buy anything of Chilton's, they are very general with hardly any techinal info. at all. Get Helm's or Lexus only.

I haven't seen Helm's but I had a chilton's manual for my DSM and it was very informative and walked me and a friend through a headgasket swap precisely.

VSsc400,

My son bought me the 2 volume factory set for Christmas (92sc300.)

It ran 118.00 delivered (108 + 10 shipping) from Hendrick Lexus in Charlotte. Shayne Malcom is the parts guy that helped me.

Best deal I was able to find....

Unfortunately HELMS doesn't make the manual for the SC400, which sux because they are great.

I have the Lexus electrical manual for the 93 SC400, great book but very hard to understand if you are not fluent in schematics.

Johnny3 - did you say you were in OKC? We need to get an OK meet sometime.

Peace,
Jonny

Well that wasn't too bad of a swap!!!

We have several CL members here in Tulsa and a couple in OKC I believe. Keep checking the meet section so we can try and arrange something.

peace,
Jonny
