i'd suggest that you get 2000 grit sand paper and wet sand it
over again, but by just removing the headlight unit and not opening it apart .
and this time when you buff try using higher rpms with the novus and polish
it until you think your arms are going to fall off. then they should come out
crystal clean.

Yes... I think I buffed my own lights until my arms felt a little sore. I was quite impressed though, forget $350 for new lights, when u can buff till it hurts. It works well if you have that plastic polish in stage 3,2,1. Use 3 for heavy scratches from the sanding. Buff. Use 2 for fine scratches. Buff. Then 1 for the finishing touches and wipe off.

i'd say just try to keep it out of the harsh weather in the first place and they should
be good.

by the time i get up to the polishing part my hands are really tired so i only did like 2 coats and i didnt polish it off fast enough. I will attemp to use my rotary buffer this time but that will only work on the outside of the housing.
and yes the car is lowered on tein basics. its not extremely low but low enough so that thers no wheel gap. I can't make it any lower as i live in nyc and i already scrap on some big dips. so going any lower would force me to drive slow and swirve by potholes. the way i drive now i just zoom through them.

I just got done cleaning my headlights/high beams with Blue Magic's "Plastic and Plexiglass Cleaner and Scratch Remover" ($5 at Autozone) and it worked wonders. I didn't have to take out my headlights, use sandpaper or a buffer. All it took was a rag and about ten minutes of rubbing. They look like new, but mine weren't as bad as yours were. This is just another option to consider.
