Default Hood latch

Hello gang:

I have been having a problem with the hood latch lately on my SC400. When I pull the latch inside the car, the spring frequently does not pop up the hood, and I have to pry it up with my fingernails, not fun. Any suggestions to fix this?

Thanks,

Ryan

So is anybody going to reply to this? Anyone know how to adjust the spring, or a fix for this?

Thanks,

Ryan

Mine does the same thing, but I haven't done anything about it yet. I'm also interested to see if anyone has fixed this problem.

Default Hood Problem

If putting some lubricant on it doen't work then Realign Your hood latch.

Should take all of 5 minutes to fix this problem unless your car has been in a front end collision.

This used to happen to me also. Spraying some WD-40 on the latch mechanism worked for me also
