However the response is always the same............Jaw dropping to the floor and saying "You gotta be s_hittin' me!" Anyone from Massachusetts knows what I'm talkin about!

I also agree that the "Year" question is the most obvious one, but I also get:

"Is that V-6??"

Or "How fast is it??"

And "How fast have you gotten it up to???"

And the best one "What do you have under the hood???"

Yep. In fact, when I was shopping for it, that was the first question I asked the seller. He actually knew the answer, so props to him.

Other common question I get is, "Are you serious?" after I tell them it's almost 13 years old. Also:

"What kind of engine is in that?"
"Why did you buy such an old car?"
"Do you have a lot of problems with it?"
"Where did you get it?"

If I were building a FAQ on the Soarer, I would certainly include a tutorial on what needs to be done to slam the car with 20" wheels. There are a couple wiring harnesses over the drivers side wheel that have to be re-routed to avoid lots of problems.

When I was looking into getting a SC, this was a big personal issue for me (the car had to be aggressively lowered with 20" wheels)

Yup, me too. What year is that??? Heard it a million times. Mine's a 93 and shocks people.
I'm happy too say the year which indicates that its almost 13 years old but looks newer than many 2005's.

I also get the suprised look when people ask and find out it's a V-8. This goes to show you people's ignorance of Lexus products.



Mine has 201,000 miles on it and I'll take it over a new car anyday.
