Door rattling...

I have noticed that my driver and passanger side doors have some kind of rattling in them. I asked how much it would be to fix it at the Lexus dealership and they said $240 just to take off the door panels off! They said some bolts were probably loose. So I went home and looked up how to take the door panels off. I did it and tightened some bolts but there is still a rattling. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks

rattling is coming from the wood inserts in the door. They have some nuts holding them...remove the door panel and retighten these nuts. This will cure the problem.
To check the wood inserts for noise just tap the wood by the part where it meets the door handle mechanism and also on the rounded part with one finger and listen. You will notice when they are loose. sorry if you have to take the panels off again but it is worth it.

If you want to reduce the chance of them loosening again put some Loctite Thread Lock on the bolts before tightening the nuts.
This will stop them from loosening again and your having to remove the door panels more than once.
