Default inside door lock question

When i press the electric door lock switch it locks both doors. When i press it to unlock the doors it unlocks the passenger door with one press and the driver's door with a second press. Is this normal and if not, what is wrong. Will an aftermarket keyless entry work with it as i described? BTW, 92 SC300. Thanks

That's weird, do you mean the button inside, on the door? Or the keyless entry button on your key? I own a '93 and it locks and unlocks both doors simotanously from the door button and my key button.
