Default window trim

Stupid question. My rear driver side widow trim is starting to flake off the black revealing the chrome underneath. Can/should I have it repainted or just buy new?

Thanks

Just touch it up. Replacing it requires replacing the rear windows and they require professional removal to get them out without shattering them.

I was just noticing mine needed some help also. Would you recommend sanding them completely down and taping off the windows and the car and completely repainting them or were you suggesting just paint what needs to be painted???

I would just tape off the bad part and touch it up. Anything you repaint may not look the same or even last so it would suck if the ENTIRE trim started to fade, chip or peel.

If just the repaired area goes bad then you are just where you started before and you lose nothing.

Anything automotive grade. Preferred would be "TRIM BLACK" by SEM but that's usually only available at auto body supply stores. Try to use that.

If in a pinch, engine enamel available anywhere will do the trick, too.
