thinking about getting a sc300
ive come across a black automatic1998 sc300 that my dads boss owns, he's looking to get rid of it. Its got 100 thousand miles, but he's the original owner and its always been serviced at the lexus dealership. also the interior is in excellent condition, he's looking to get 6500 for it, is that a pretty good deal?

alright, it looks like i'll be buying a lexus.
i made a mistake when typing that, i guess its actually a 1997, i dont know how much that would affect the value.
anyone have any suggestions for mods? i'll have about 2grand to work with as soon as i buy it.
after a few months when the weather gets nicer i plan on getting some black rims for it too.

But if your looking for top of the line parts, 2k isnt going to get you all of it. Id probably start with a nice set of coilovers. I made the mistake of getting wheels and stereo equipment...now I wish I would have done it different. Oh well.
Congrats on the car, They are great. Keep it taken care of and its got alot of life left in it. Blacks a nice color too

I've got a black 98 Auto as well, with just over 100k miles. There were some interior updates to the 98+, and the 98+ cars have the variable valve timed engine as well. 97+ has the revised exterior. As far as an overall value, buy it :-) Definitely a steal. NADA on my car is 16k, and I picked it up for 12k. That was a steal. Yours is just flat out incredible.
