Just replaced the blue 15 amp fuse for the climate control and cigarette lighter assembly...but every time I plug something into cigarette lighter assembly, the fuse keeps blowing! I've gone through 3 15 amp fuses already...why is that?

^^ Well, obviously because it's drawing too much current, but the real question is WHY it's drawing too much current. This often happens when someone has spliced (hacked) into an existing line (lighter) to add on something else which increases the total load drawn through the fuse. It can also be because of a short somewhere in the device you're trying to use (lighter) that results in too much current flow. It can also be because whatever you're plugging into the lighter is just rated to use more current than the fuse can handle. G/L

Well, I did replace the insulating washer (since my old one was cooked) with an identical looking brass washer (Bought at Home Depot)...just exactly like what AaronE did.

Some other notes to consider since the Climate Control and Cigarette lighter assembly are tied together.

1) The 3 back lighting bulbs on the Climate Control's LCD screen were replaced with smaller non-oem bulbs bought at a local Radio Shack...(You can faintly see the Climate Control's LCD screen blinking alongside the blinkers whenever I signal a turn).

2) And the device I'm trying to plug into the cigarette lighter is a Garmin GPS Navigator (I highly doubt that device draws way too much current though)
