Default cleaned up headlights

I found some dirt cheap rubbing compound and polish at meijer the other night so i decided to mess with these cloudy headlights. total costed me 5 bucks. heres a before and after. i'm still deciding if i wanna do the insides also. but either way, i'm happy with them already. changed the car totally.

yea it's amazing how much rubbing compound helps.. jsut gotta be careful because if you rub too hard.. that ***** can get REAL abrasive, gotta be patient with that stuff

just be careful and keep them polished. they can easily get fogged up again.

thanx for the compliments. i believe it was turtle wax. it was in a short round containter, and one was white and red, other was white and green. i'll double check for sure next time i'm in the garage. i applied the compound with a paper towel, then used a buffer on em. whiped them down good, then did the same with the polish. i did that process 3 times.

Looks good.

I don't mean to thread jack but does anyone have an Idea how to get fog out of the head light assembly? My left turn signal bulb socket worked it way loose and cause the whole thing to fog up due to moisture, I have sealed it back up but I cant get rid of the fog.

The search button is your friend! This is one of the most common problems discussed on this forum. Here's a link I saved to my favorites.

i think i would prolly take the housings out, leave the hole for the bulbs opened, and let them sit in sunlight. i would think the heat would evaporate the moisture since there is a vent hole for where the bulb goes into. and once its all dry, throw it back in the car and put the bulbs in to avoid water getting back in. i've never tried it, but it sounds like it would work. good luck
