should my bro trade his mr2 for this sc3?

Keep the 2... unless he really is looking for a better daily driver. I still have my MR2, and when I drive my SC for long periods of time during the week, I can't stop thinking about the weekends to tear around in the MR2 that is much more fun to drive.
But before I got the lexus, I was definately getting tired of driving MR2 in every day traffic. The lex has more space everywhere, and is definately more comfortable.
Loan your bro some cash so he can have both, I got my lex with less miles (and no mods) for 4k.

I would Keep the MR2 for life!!!!
I spend 8k of upgrades on mine and sold it in exchange for a 3 month trip in Europe. Awesome trip but worst move I've ever made....
There's nothing like the mid engline RWD feel and it makes me sad when I think about that magic feel. I'm sure your bro will feel the same so unless he can afford a NSX or Lotus, keep the MR2. I like the SC but as far as the fun factor goes, MR2 is a 10 and SC is a 3. SC handles like ***** when compared to the MR2. I'm definately going to find another MR2 in the future, hopefully soon.
again DON'T DO IT!!

I picked up my 93 sc 5spd w/ 170k for 3500 and i knew a few others who have got thier 5spd's for under 5k as well. just keep looking around. anything more than 10k for a non 97+ is too much in my opinion. unless it has under 50k miles or something. But milage isnt a big deal with these cars. Im sure you can pick up a 97 5spd for around 13k if you look hard enough even though they are rare.
Nice MR2 BTW. Might even look nicer without the sticker on the windshield.
