HIGH beam light assy....plastic or glass??

on my 93 SC, those high beam light assy (right next to the headlight assy), they are plastic, but today, i pulled one high beam light assy off a 98 SC, and it's glass....what's going on??

Later on they were changed to glass

After 95 I think they were all changed to glass.
