Taka Kaira doesn't make lights? They're a retail shop...

I know... what I meant was I would buy the ones that they're going to make that look like the ones from Taka Kaira. And yea those full clear ones are not the ones I like. I'd rather something along the lines of a 95-96 cleared tail look but with LEDS built in.

Unfortunately the LEDs still are only about 82% efficient, this means that they will put out only 18% of the power put into them as light, the rest is heat.
It's all in there, and these guys make some of the best and brightest, not just the kind that tell you when you computer is turned on.

Osram makes a nice strip light on a flexible circuit board that's low enough wattage to run w/out heat sinks, might be easier to mount inside the tail light housing.
The Audi A8 has LED headlights on their current model, an industry first, and they use a similar lense/diffuser as on the SC.

Agilent makes some nice individual leds that are encased inside of a glass optic that will mount to a circuit board, not sure about their thermal requirements however, as that will vary with wattage.
You mean 18% of the power come out as dissipation (heat), and 82% as actual power. A 100% efficiency means 100% of the power are used with no dissipation.
