19" fits the SC best imo, I myself plan on getting 19" hp evo's, they are becoming more and more popular.

I can't bite my tongue any longer. They are overplayed!! And it will only get worse because they are cheap...

This really depends on what you are after. IMO, a stock bodied SC looks better with 18's and 19's look better with an aftermarket kit. HOWEVER, the ride will suffer with 19's more so than 18's. I just put a set of 18" HP Evo's on my 95 SC400 (there's a thread here with pics) and I absolutely love them. Yeah, they are inexpensive and yeah I think they are becoming more and more popular, but I went with them because I wanted them. Check out the SC section in the gallery to see what other wheels catch your eye. In the end, just go with you YOU want for your car. Good luck man.

Thanks for the input guys, and not a lashing, I heard it can be hazardous to ask old questions but things do sometimes change .I really like how the 19's look but I do take a few long rides so I dont want ride problems I like the stern St2 best the vo's are sweet looking but look pretty wimpy when comes to durability appearence they look cool will I have to lower or raise the car with either rim I dont want to look like a 4x4 w stock set height on the 19 or training wheels with 18

You have to slam it either way.

19's won't bother you on the highway or your long trips. It's in the city and on beat up roads that they start to become tiring. The freeway is where you feel them the least unless it's a complete disaster but most freeways are in much better shape the city streets since the speeds are higher.

If you can afford it , get proper forged name-brand wheels. I'm constantly preaching on this so click here for more info on the difference between cheap wheels and pricey wheels and how more expensive wheels cost you less in the long run:

Good luck!

19s look hott yes, but if you want a beat down on rough roads, do not get! i agree they look best on a SC with a kit, however 18s dropped on stock looks very nice too, and not too shabby on rough roads....

This particular Stern (if I remember correctly) has been in other threads and was deemed a cheap wheel that I personally would stay away from.

I agree with some of the above. Thw 18's will look fine w/ a stock body. If you're ever thinking of getting a bodykit, the 19 is a must do as the 18s look a tad bit small. As for handling, the stiffer big 19 will probably handle a tiny bit better than the 18s, but it doesn't really matter. Just make sure you like the wheel that's going on your car.

About the ST-2's, I really really like the design of the wheel, I just wish they had a reputable maker.

I've had 17's, 18's, 19's, and now 20's/

going from 18's to 19's to my current setup of 20's feel all the same to me honestly.

CleanSC was right on the money about the comfort on 19s and driving on highways. If you're sticking with an OEM body upgrade, go 19's. If you're getting a body kit, I feel 20's fit the car better. I have pictures of my car on 19s, and 20's. Definitely look better with 20's.
