Well if you want you can pm with the break down of what you are getting quoted from your insurance for parts and paint and I can see about helping you track down some parts locally. Im sure enough of us know people who can get your car painted at a good price for you. I mean the choice is of course up to you, I would just hate to see you get so close to being able to get a color change and not be able to get it done.

I really appreciate the offer. If the insurance company would stop screwing me around and provide me with a check then that is the way I would want to go. Unfortunately though, they are trying to send the check to the shop that is doing the repairs - and that shop will be buying the parts.
I agree - I would love a slight tweak as a color change. I will call the ins. company again and see what they say.
