Angry AFM Intake pipe & ram air no go

No shop can make these for me. I am a persistent one however and am fabricating the ram air from fiberglass today and will try some other options for the AFM intake pipe

I need some info on the pinout for the AFM and if it is calibrated for a specific cavity.

I have the heatshields instock.

Post not sure

I really am not certain. Any other users of my design know? Fits my 93 300 perfect and I only have a few left never to repeat the manufacturing run again.

The box consists of 1 side piece which has a 1" lip on the top and bottom (90 deg bend), part of this same piece is bent over at the top and connects over to the bracket on the car fender (this is about 2" wide). Also part of the same piece is a part which goes under the MAF plate.

The top is the same material and covers the entire area shown. No holes are predrilled, so you can custom fit it. Shown is the diagram in my SC300 1993, it should also fit any other SC as long as your filter is in the same area.

I thought about ebay for these 4, but will offer them here to my buddies for my cost plus shipping. I pick these around 6/19 and can have them powdercoated and shipped by the end of the week.

I'll post pics and will order more if enough people want them after these.

LET ME KNOW ASAP IF MORE PEOPLE WANT THESE, I WILL CALL AND INCREASE ORDER -- ONLY IF I GET PREPAY THOUGH.
hey 933005spd,
what kind of filter is this? is it K&N? Did you have to make that yellow hose to make the air intake fit? Where and how much did u get it?
Are you currently accepting orders for more??
thanks,
007

Unhappy

Hi Guys:
JPM aka 933005spd used to make these real fine air boxes. I did email him a while back. He has no more and does not intend to have more made up. He had a small unit run fabricated and had it coated in some various colors. Sadly they are no longer available and the last ones are all sold. LexusSC400.com did have them listed on their website but they were never in stock and are now not shown on the website as of yesterday. (12/21/2001)

JPM has a website of his own. He lists his modifications and whatnot. Turn up your speakers cause he has some good groove going mingled in with some exhaust tones as his SC300 drives up on the homepage. He has a few web pages and dyno results devoted to the cold air box.

Here is his URL...

Arrow the box

the box is still working great. I know there are a bunch of people who want these. Right now the fab shop where I can get small runs made is able to schedule me for late next month. We would need 10 buyers at 70 each and I don't have 700 bucks to pay in advance for the parts right now (with christmas and all).

soooo, thats the scoop.

PS: I am starting up a powder coating service for clublexus members more details to follow.

Peter

Merry Christmas, New Years and Happy Holidays.

That is great news that you are contemplating a new run! I will take one in RED please. So sign me up. Also, as I understand it, the rear or back of the airbox is open. Is there a way to close this up? OR is that not good to do? Your advice on this would be appreciated.

Guys:
Heads UP!!
Garnet92 has sold his SC400! (boo boo sadness sadness)
If you look at the ClubLexus classifieds for the SC400 (in the forums area) he has an original JPM coated airbox, MAF adapter and filter for sale from his SC400. He emailed me last night. It is still available as a COMPLETE unit. He only has one and his price is very very attractive. This is one of the orginal JPM laser cut units as shown on 933005spd's website.
