Ok Guys, I got a quote from my fabricator and I can get a box made of CRS or Al and powdercoated red or black.
It consists of a side shield which bolts down using the air box bolts and covers right under the MAF plate also. The top will screw or bolt to this and the existing air box bracket.
The CRS is @16ga and runs around $40 the Al is about the same gauge and is $50. How many people are interested?
I will run datalogger testing on the setup soon and post results.

i'm in!!
this will work for a 92 sc400 right?
I think you posted up a picture of this on another thread but can you attach it to this one too?
I'm interested in a AL one...no powdercoating...
Will it have a top cover? or can you make one?
a plexiglass cover or something...
You can count me in on this...
How much is shipping and how long is it going to take?
Thanks,
Tony

I'm interested as well. What is CRS? Will this cold air box fit for my '92 SC300? What intake setup goes w/ this?
I was planning to make one of plexiglass like I did for my Q45, but that's alot of trouble. If you can offer one already made for the SC, I'm in!

I am also interested for my '95 SC400. Aluminum powdercoated black. But I am also wondering if I have to have a specific intake setup? I would like to do a rod millen intake with this plate. Thanks!

Here it is
Ok, I had him make me 5 total out of aluminum stock. I will have 4 available, the 5 cost me $290 total. $58 each. If you want it powdercoated with an automotive underhood approved black powdercoat it is an additional $10.
The box consists of 1 side piece which has a 1" lip on the top and bottom (90 deg bend), part of this same piece is bent over at the top and connects over to the bracket on the car fender (this is about 2" wide). Also part of the same piece is a part which goes under the MAF plate.
The top is the same material and covers the entire area shown. No holes are predrilled, so you can custom fit it. Shown is the diagram in my SC300 1993, it should also fit any other SC as long as your filter is in the same area.
I thought about ebay for these 4, but will offer them here to my buddies for my cost plus shipping. I pick these around 6/19 and can have them powdercoated and shipped by the end of the week.
I'll post pics and will order more if enough people want them after these.
LET ME KNOW ASAP IF MORE PEOPLE WANT THESE, I WILL CALL AND INCREASE ORDER -- ONLY IF I GET PREPAY THOUGH.

I'm in!
I'll take the Aluminum in black powdercoat as well (any chance I can get red powdercoat?)
Since I have a '92 SC300, fitment should be ok right? I have a Paypal account if that helps. Just e-mail me w/ payment instructions and details. My shipping zip is 60564 for estimates.
thanx for your leadership here!
