90% sure I want to do this, does seibon work around our time, or do we have to be free all the time? I will give them a call later on.

any idea if it has the latches or would hood pins be needed? Also, would the hood struts cause it to bow upwards? This is very interesting. If i had $300 to spend id be down to test fit it but since i dont, that i cannot do.

Calvin: you should do it. its right around the corner from you

I was wondering the exact same things. The weight savings on this is what? about 60lbs or so?

as much as i hate the look of hood pins it would be a wise thing to do.

our stock hoods are quite have an designed and tested to make sure they won't just fly off.

these cf "oem" hoods are not the same though there's a great chance they'll fly off.

(if it still hasn't gone through your head)

last week i heard of a guy who hood flew up (because the latch broke and he didn't have hood pins) broke his windshield and bent his roof, then the hood broke off... heard it was just a mess. and this wasn't my first time hearing it.

a friend of mine had a cf hood on his integra and while driving on the freeway (not going n/e more over speed limit which is 65) his hood popped up...luckily nothing broke, but he said it was scary as hell as you can't see anything.

ACleanSC4 had his CF hood on for a long time and NOTHING happened with NO hood pins. I had a CF hood for a short time on my other car that i just sold, and nothing happned while driving 100+ miles per day. Luck of the draw I guess.

if by luck of the draw, you mean quality, then i agree

i heard a pretty bad story about a hood flying up, shattering the windshield, bending the targa and then flying off to hit another car causing an accident on top of the subsequent damage to the car. Hood pins would definitely be something i would consider.
