well i ran a 10.88 but they didnt print any time slips tonight so i dont know how fast i was going. I only ran once, full tank of gas + sub, trac off, o/d off, and that xtra power button thing was on. Since it was my first time i wasnt use to how fast the count down on the tree was so i didnt power break or anything.

We totally got screwed over with our autos... Best I could ever muster out of the car was a 16.8@84.4 mph, im betting money my 140 hp sohc 240sx would of done better then that.

1/8 was a high 10 on verge on being 11s.

Granted the strip at the time was not at sea level but even corrected it would only brought it down to a 16.2@87 mph... Sad times. Yet another reason why I think this car had overated hp figures!

Although i decided to keep it stock for a while longer, Im hoping that I get a chance to do something with this car eventually now that I somehow managed to resurrect this car from the dead (it was rear ended a year ago.)

Wow, those ARE horrible times (no offense). I thought that our cars were suppose to pull high 15s? I know that with over 100k they won't do that, but geez my friends 94 nissan hardbody truck ran a best of 10.7

5 speed makes a huge difference. Id say about a second off or damn close to it. For one youd be able to actually get respectable launches with the 5 speed. With my auto the best 60' time was 2.5x ... And that was with a brake torque launch. In addition to getting to launch right you also get an extra gear to play with, and off course the no one could forget the not as harsh drive train losses.

High peak torque, plus uber long gears + overated hp figures+ low stall converter = huge dissapointment. Since this is my daily driver for the forseable future I just wont worry about it anymore.
