Fixing Windshield
I was driving in PA on I-76 going to visit my girlfriend in Pittsburgh. As I'm passing this 18 wheeler, a rock flies out from under its tire and hits the windshield. Now there is a dime size chip in the glass. Anyone know how I can fix this? I don't want to replace the whole windshield, but I also do not want it to get any larger.

Are these windshield replacements at cheaper places the same
glass as a Toyota glass? Same thickness??
The toyota glass itself is $650 plus installation at these cheaper
places. $150 total price otherwise.
What's the difference?????????????

Wow Same thing happened to me the Day I bought the car. I was in NC heading back home and I saw that rick coming...
The chip has been there for a year now with no issues. I'm tihnking of bringing it in soon though before the winter comes.
I think visc's question is simple enough. I'd imagine the Toyota glass has the security glass break sensors on it, and is possibly tempered stronger. Where the $100 glass is not as durable and doesnt have the security system on it. (it's the black trim you see around all your windows.)
