The London Congestion Charge is £5/day but the min penalty for forgetting to pay on the day is £50 !

Tell all your relatives & friends, dont go to London. And fight against the introduction of congestion charging in your cities.

Whoa... So London IS an expensive place to live...

I remember when I got fined here in Australia (was driving the Tarago van but left my E-Way tag in the Soarer), they adjsuted the fine to my E-Way account balance.

WTF is a Congestion Charge?
They make you pay for being stuck in traffic?
Those stupid cameras are the reason I don't put on my front license plate.
Ticket for no front plate: $40/no points
Ticket for running red light (camera): $200+/1 point

I think I'd rather get fined for no plate.

Cheers,
~Alan

Plus, when you T-bone someone (which eventually happens when you run red lights), at least you won't damage your front plate.

the congestion charge is to try to help reduce the amount of traffic in certain areas ! You have to pay 5 per day and london bill has received a ticket for not paying on the day for 10 times that ! ouch

Guys;

This is just a taste of things to come, the bleeding heart liberals, tree huggers & conservationists are trying to take away our "rights" to enjoy driving a car. One such organisation has recently called for a UK Motoring program on TV (Top Gear) to be pulled because it encourages dangerous and anti-social driving.

Transport 2000 (bunch of W4NKERS)

Maybe they all want to drive around in 3clylinder/electric "eco" cars and save the planet, or go by public transport (which is mostly none existent in the UK), or better still get a pushbike (and a heart attack).

In London they allowed some left wing loonie to become Mayor, what few people realised is that the Mayor of London could introduce his own by-laws (a bit like your different State Laws) and there was sweet FA anyone could do about it.

I could stab somebody in the street and get a similar fine !

I'm going to start an organization to save Top Gear and send all those tree-huggers to Africa, where they can do their thing all day and all night.

Hybrids are cool but 0-60mph in 15 seconds is not.
All they have to do is come up with an alternative solution (for fuel) and I'm all ears.

Or they can focus their attention on getting Toyota to mass-produce the 400+hp hybrid supercar, and make it affordable.
I know I'd drive one.

So who is better to live with the Labour Party or the Conservatives? I think it's a little comical that the British election is held on Cinco de Mayo - LOL. Good luck over there, and remember there's always room for one more here in the States.

LOL. That's funny, when I think of Africa I think of plains and flat lands with no forestation (deserts). If you said "Brazil" then maybe, ya know...with the rain forests and all...well, what's left of them that is

Ahh Perry, yes...the wondrous "country" of Africa

i grew up in lagos nigeria, and i can say my area was no barren plain or dessert flat lands with no forestation. My last 6ix years there was in boarding school (hell on earth) that was surrounded by miles & miles of vegitation, trees everywhere, where else would all the monkeys play . but then thats just the area i was in.
