Depends on what kit you get. Origin Labs is a full replacement rear bumper. Most of the other kits that I have seem prefer to mount to a pre 97 bumper.

I also think the they're backwards. The rear should be slightly larger than the front, because the rear panel quarter is larger than the front. The reason they seems to fit easier this backward way is because of the bad molding. I have the RaceonUSA JIC kit and it's horrible fitment. It took me about a week to make it look and fit perfect like the original kit. A lot of bondo, shaving, and ideas to make it nice. The RaceUSA costs 1/2 of the original kit, but you'll end up for the full price if the shop do it for you. Labor costs. And make sure the shop brace your kit right, or it'll break easily. Most shops that I know just put a few screws to barely hold it. You won't know the difference untill you hit somethings.

I know these parts have been mentioned already but more than one opinion always helps...

Car Year - 99 sc300.
Part type - Front Bumper
Part make - T&E Vertex
Part construction - fiberglass (might have been frp)
Source - LuxuryMods (thanks Tony!!)
Price - call and ask for tony
Fitment - Perfect
Installation - painted by bodyshop. installation only required screws.
Durability - So far so good.

Part type - sideskirts and rear bumper
Part make - Origin
Part construction - fiberglass
Source - LuxuryMods.com
Fitment - For an authentic kit I would've expected a little better.. but for its price it was a good buy in my opinion. Id say 8.5/10
Installation - Installed by Bodyshop
Durability - too early to tell.
Notes - I originally purchased the V-Speed kit from VIS first since i had a good experience with my MR-S, but the Vspeed doesnt line up at all!!. With the extra few hundred bucks Id much rather go with an origin kit!!!

Default Vertex or Origin?

I agree!... It's a toss-up for me going with either the Vertex or the Origin kit. I like the "big mouth" aggressive front bumpers and the smooth OEM look to the rockers and rear bumper. BUT, I'd like to see more pics from you guys to sway me!

Also, I'm wondering why the Origin kit is so much cheaper (around $850) than the Vertex (around $2300)?.. Solid vs. hollow core?.. Not as many layers of fiberglass? Seems like fitment and durability are about the same according to you guys.

Any other input would be great.

origin is american made and vertex is pure JDM.

honestly though, i have a vertex knock off kit myself from AIT. The fitment from them was actually very good and as far as the durability goes; i've had some pretty big scrapes and bumps and the bumper has held up very well.

Sweet. I'm guessing the Velocity kit the Vertex knock-off? Impressive little video they have in the gallery... lots of flexibility and strength.

I rather not get an ORGIN kit, you will need to get rid of the fog lights which I kinda like!
