Polyurethane bushings affect the ride comfort the most. Coilovers can give you a stock-like ride but it depends largely on the coilover you get. I hear different opinions on the same model so I don't know what to think anymore, but my feeling is the HKS hipermax (?) and JIC SF1s feel good. I'm still on strut-springs, which I find are alright but don't compare to coilovers.

You should do a little research.. the swap can be done with about the same money invested in a na-t setup.

Is there any N/A- T kits that are streetlegal in CA? I might just go with the TT if there's none.

Nope, once you go turbo, you're illegal. There is no such thing as a carb legal NA-T kit.

Infact, change your midpipe, or change your intake and your car is illegal.

California is the smog *****.

i don't think my stock 98 sc300 can keep up with my stock 05 G35c .
i love both cars and drive both often but for different reasons.

swap in a 1jz or painstakenly swap a 2jz-gte, along with suspension upgrades, and you should be able to teach those Zs or G35s a lesson

Hell I don't have half those mods and my car handles incredibly well... add a Torsen differential and Supra brakes on all four corners and you'll have a very capable track car...
Does anyone have a Road&Track road test on the 5 speed SC300? I think I found a slalom speed but don't know what lateral gs were pulled on a 200' skidpad. I'm just collecting information about some cars I'm considering and need that figure to complete the spreadsheet. Also, I came up with a list of mods I might want to do to a stock SC300, can I get some feedback on how you think it would make the car handle/feel? What I'm going for is a car with lots of grip and responsive, but not twitchy, handling. I like a firm (some might even say hard) ride, but I'd like it to be compliant as well, over potholes and stuff. Anyway, here's what I was considering at one point:
Eibach Pro-kit $259
Greddy $800
or
Borla $586.99
KYB GR-2 $272.12 (4 of them)
Shift kit? $200? (optional)
So the least I could get away with in parts, (springs, shocks, exhaust)
would be $1118.11, and if you double that to figure the shipping and installation costs, it would come out to $2236.22.
Thanks for any feedback,
Tom
