The reason I ask is that our local drag track goes by NHRA rules, and I am going to try a 75 dry shot of nitrous on my SC3..
NHRA rules state
So I need to know if our trunk is sealed from the drivers compartment...I assume it is as the gas tank is between it and the rear seats...otherwise I am going to have to install a blow down tube if I want to run the nitrous. *cough* or hide the lines and install it after my car it tech'd. lol. *cough*
Also can anyone tell me if there is a drain somewhere in the trunk where I can run the nitrous line through before I go drilling any holes?
Thanks guys
NHRA rules state
Nitrous Oxide: Bottles must be stamped as meeting DOT 1800
pound standards, and must be securely bolted to frame or floor (no
bungee straps, hose clamps, etc.) All fittings, hoses, etc. must be
compatible, from same manufacturer, properly vented to outside of
driver compartment.

Behind the rear seats there is metal separating the passenger compartment from the trunk. I don't know what their definition of sealed is but I believe the barrier will do.
I know of two tubes that drain to underneath of the vehicle. The first one is on the left side of the trunk, the tube/drain is next to the black box.
The other drainage tube is an overflow tube from the gas nozzle thingy. (When you fill up at the station, and it overflows... it goes down that tube) And that runs just behind the CD changer behind the fabric.
I don't know if these holes will fit your needs though...

Yes it is, atleast I sure hope so! I don't see it being a problem for you, just point them to the gas tank. With a battery, fuel cell, and nitrous bottle all in my trunk - I'd fail tech many times if not.
