![Question](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Does anyone have an idea how much it would approx. cost to have an SC4 painted (good quality)?
Also, did anyone ever replace the leather of the seats and door covers? Again, how much $?
Thanks

In Los Angeles, a REAL paint job (in other words, not some Earl Schiester ****) is around $5000. Showcar quality is around $10,000. Most places will do a decent paint job for $2K to $3K (sometimes a little less) but they don't remove the rubber trim (they just mask), then don't usually do doorjams, etc., etc...but they use good paint (like Dupont or PPG)...$500 paint jobs consist of very quick and poor masking job using low quality paints (many times they peel after a year or two), poor prep, etc., etc...
If you change colors like from Red to Black, you'll notice it on cheap paint job (you'll see the old red paint in places around the door, trunk, hood, etc...) A good ($5K) paint job will be better (but your engine bay will be whatever it color it was before)...on a $10K show paint job, it'll look 1000% better than factory...I'm talking no orange peel, no old paint, etc., etc...
If you're painting it the same color (or close like Black to Dark Navy), even a cheap paint job won't look too bad...but I would do at least a decent ($2-3K or so) paint job to get decent quality...
