I have a GS-R and a SC400. Both are great cars, but you cannot really compare the two. Yes the GS-R is cheaper car to maintain and mod, but it also cost less than half of an SC to begin with. The SC has demanded slightly less maintenance than the GSR, but both are very reliable cars. Both will need Timing belt, water pump, cap and rotor blah blah blah. Lexus is more expensive to maintain than your typical rice rocket, but much cheaper than a german luxury car. Remember this is a luxury car and the maintainence costs to reflect that, however, not to the extent that some of its main competitors do. The nice thing about Lexus is its 95% maintenence as opposed to break/fix, as long as you do regular maintenence you car will last very long, yes even longer than a GSR. Glad to see you still have your SC and 135K is just breaking in, hopefully youve found this out!

I've had my soarer for about 4 months now. The only time something broke is when I drifted it. !1st time, my speedo stopped working, 2nd time, I took out a fender, 3rd time, my BOV broke, 4th time the power to my aftermarket gauges/turbo timer broke and yesterday I drifted without breaking anything!...UNTIL I opened the door to leave and the interior door handle broke off. Maybe someone, somewhere doesnt want me to drift the lead sled...

My 92 SC400 (all stock, SO FAR) has 162k on it, and I swear it runs better than my 01 Bullitt! Of course, the original owner took extremely good care of it..

I am right in the middle of my Auto-RX rinse phase, so I will let you know if I stop leaking. I was at a quart every 1000 miles. Mine had 181k on it in November, and I am up to 194k now. I will let you know if it works in a few thousand miles.
