Wide Angle Mirrors i.e. Broadway
#17
i am not sure about you guys (although some of you have voiced your opinions already) but I love my wide angle mirror. It lets me see much more objects behind me than the regular rear view mirror can. Its also helpful to see blind spots when im backing up and switching lanes. Plus if you have cute girls in the back seat, its definitely a plus. . Of course safety 1st...

Auto dimming? What years?
Which years are the auto dimming mirrors on? I have a 92 and while it has a button that activates the LCD dimming, I don't believe it to be automatic. Although I've heard of others having this feature. Also, if I was going to upgrade my mirror, what other options did Lexus offer? Compass or external temperature, maybe?
I get the "blotches" on my mirror as well, but I find that it's only when the car is hot. Once I roll the windows down and get some circulation going, or turn the AC on, it goes away shortly after.
No APC stickers; No spinners, No funky spoilers
Dang, and the UPS man just dropped off my 14" spinner rims, aluminum racing wing (profile higher than the car so it looks like a handle on a childs toy, only life size), and my APC windshield decal, along with the giant APC logo for the back window... Just got the shipment in from the Wal-Mart on line store, under the "screw and glue" part of the automotive section...
Speaking of, I had to toast this kid today in his mid 90s Grand Am V-6... Crappy paint, rust, stock everything from the looks of it, EXCEPT what looked to be a black/carbon fiber trunk and a black aluminum wing that was higher profile than the car. I wanted to get next to him at the next light and advise that the problem was that his wing was slowing him down too much

on topic though. Honestly its not hard to take a quick peek over your shoulder.
i guess if you really want to eliminate the blind spot...theres curved stick on mirrors available too for the sideview mirrors.
