Default Passenger Airbag in '92 SC400?

I was wondering if it would be possible to install a passenger airbag, from a newer SC400 in my 1992 SC400. If it is possible, what parts would I need? I am just looking to improve different things in the car, and this is one possibility.

Thanks,
Scott

You'd need at a minimum a new dash, the airbag, dash trim, Airbag ECU, wiring and maybe the front sensors.

Kind of a mission and the only way to test if your conversion is successful is not very practical.

Seatbelts... Or if you wanna look cool. You can get race seats and a harness.
That's your best bet for safety without spending a ridiculous amount of money.

If you are looking to transplant parts from junk car, price should not be mind blowing. If you would go for new parts cheaper would be to buy car with two airbags.

Granted you want to change dash because it is in bad shape why not upgrade it at the same time?
Now saing that that is top skil level job, and I do not think any shop would do it for you because of liability issiues.
To do this project by yourself, you must have excelent electrical skils, read EWD schematic and in general understand what are you doing.

Hmm... I think my best bet would just be to replace my worn-out seatbelts ...it looks like it would be a huge undertaking.

yeah, transplantation is a job for a surgeon if you know what i mean, you'll have to literally take apart the whole interior and then some

if you're looking for seatbelts, i've got a passenger side belts in good shape, you can have them for cheaps
