hey guys i plan on goin turbo on my 95 sc 300, for all u turbo guys out there who have done this...how tough is the stock auto tranny how much HP could it take.how much boost??? an i was wonderin if anyone knows a place in southern cal, where they would actually do it for my lex...everywhere i go they say that its a lexus and shouldnt be messed w/, but ive been wantin turbos since i got this car... jus pisses me off when i kno the potential of the car but cant do **** about it

I am by no means an expert,
but I think I heard someone say a stock tranny (in good condition) would take up to 320-340 hp. Then it starts slipping like crazy. If you're going to turbo, you might as well figure in $$$ to upgrade the tranny, figure about $3-$4k loose figures.

where in LA are you? i have friends over at premier autoworks in whittier that will do it for you. I know that xs and rps are both in LA. Have you tried contacting them?
