and how did you drive through water up to your headlights? your intake snorkel is right below them you could have drowned your baby!!! i bet it wasnt 2 feet high, but wifey been saying that it rained like crazy for past couple of days

How deep was it when you were in the water??? Cant believe your car didnt hydrolock. Anyway, seems like you are having a bit of bad luck but hey, its not always going to be like that. Was that part of the crank pully hard to change out? I for some reason have this strange feeling its going to happen to me now.

Two years ago I drove through 2 feet of water without any problem. At least not on the outside. The water did rush into the car when I opened the door to get in. Soaked the carpet but there wasn't anything I could do about it. I had to try getting home. The longer I waited the higher the water got. It was definitely 2 feet...it was up to my knees. That's exactly 2 feet. That's when I knew these cars were great.
Scott, sorry to hear about your problem but glad you took care of it. Thank God for good friends.

well, it was raining again, but not as hard, and i was working in the same place..... but today i had the huge work truck. i drove throught the water again, and it was about a foot deep. when i hit it with my car, i was going about 40mph, before i got out, i was only doing about 3.... and it was floored! it was a pain in the a$$ to change... only torqed to about 350ft/lbs. chino has some good pics. then again, i was in a parking lot on my back in the nasty weather.
as for my week getting worse.... when i got back to my car at the shop, i unlocked it, and noticed that my alarm had gone off! yup... someone i work with decided not to say anything when they hit my car. no real dammage, just a white rub mark on the front bumper. only thing is.... every work vehicle there is white. just pisses me off that no one said anything to me. lets see what tomorrow holds!!
