Default Hey guys , Are these all the parts to convert sc into a turbo sc? Am I missing

something? I only want to run around 7-8 psi for now.

Stainless Turbo Manifold
Stainless 3" mandrel-bent Downpipe
Master Power T61 Turbo
4" Intake w/ cone filter
Oil feed & Oil Return Lines
Stainless 3" Mid-Pipe (deletes catalytic converter)
Tial 38mm external wastegate
Front FMIC+ piping.

Do I need any fuel computer / extra injectors or I just bolt everything in and it should work.

Thanks.

Default oh boy

oh man i know you just didnt ask that question right? use the search button there are zillions of posts about putting together a turbo kit, and yes you should invest in some sort of fuel control and some dyno time so your car will run right.

You also need some sort of fuel management and a bov. Stock fuel will be fine for upper 300s, including injectors.

If I were you, I would get injectors for that size turbo . Also fpr, afc2, and a fuel pump.

I guess it all depends what kind of boost he's planning on running. I could see him running 8 psi making 350ish on that 61, getting by fine with just an afc.

Has anyone here used a master power turbo? Ive heard alot of mixed reviews and am actually looking to pick up a T61 and they definitely have very good prices. I know they use garret internals and their own housing but has anyone had any issues?

I dont know anyone that ever had issues with Master Power...
Master Power IS NOT XS Power... completely different companies... XS Power is known for their bad turbos... they are NOT the same company...

To original poster:
T61 is a nice turbo... since you're not planning the headgasket upgrade, I'm assuming you'll be running low boost

I'd run 8-10psi max... that turbo is capable of 600whp and you definitely dont have the fuel...

Dont forget your Walbro fuel pump upgrade... and if you're going to run more than 8psi I'd honestly pick up some MKIII 440cc injectors (or RX-7 550s even) and a LS400 AFM and S-AFC to tune with
at 10psi you should push damn well near 400whp if you use a good manifold

The blow-off-valve isn't a must.... you could always pick up a used dsm unit for pennies on the dollar - it will work fine. Stock fuel is good for about 300rwhp... the stock pump is over working it self past that. A walbro would be an easy and inexpensive upgrade... along with some used 550s out of an Mk3 turbo rail. If you are on a tight budget.. maybe pickup a sidemount intercooler.

Thank you guys for your replys , I was asking b/c I found this turbo kit at www.streetdynamics.com and it would come out around $2k + I would have to get my own blow-off valve, intercooler+piping and probably s-afc.
Yes, I would like to run higher boost but later on.

I think you BEAN have streetdynamics turbo or manifold , how is it?

Do I really need s-afc if I only want to run 7psi?
Are there any webpages where it shows how to /where to install s-afc?

Thanks.

You must have fuel correction if you increase airflow.
