yea, that was an idea, but i think he is just taking this as a sign that he shouldnt be in an SC at this time. he is just going to make back what he can, and buy sonething else. he should be back to a computer by this evening, so he will be posting again.

Man, what a sad story. At least he made it out okay healthwise. As for SC's....I would probably chill until I got my head straight then come back strong. Never give in to the dark side.

Wow... this was a shock.
Matt... hope you're okay... I've had back problems from an accident and I know they're no fun.
That's pretty messed up all things considered.
Take it as bad luck and think a while before giving up on the car.
Sucks to hear all this...

Hey guys,
Well, I finally got to where I can get on the forums. I just spent 22 hours on a Greyhound bus zig-zagging all over the Southeastern US to get to Jacksonville, FL where my parents are. So, my day from hell that started at 4am Friday morning is almost over. On a side note, anyone wanting to start a freak show, just hijack a Greyhound bus down "in the dirty south", you won't be dissapointed. Was a scary experiance to say the least.
Anyways, as to what happened. I was just headed East on I-20, taking my time for the most part, not rushing it just enjoying the ride. Was having nice weather till I hit a big patch of rain. I was traveling the the right lane, and some puddles had formed. The rear tires were so bald they just hydroplaned. I tried making a small, slow correction, like you're supposed to do, but it wasnt enough. Next thing I know I am fying off the freeway bacwards with my life flashng before my eyes. Very, very scary moment. Eventually, I made impact with a tree. Everything from the quarter panels back is pretty much destroyed, but i didnt get a chance to see about any frame damage.
A truck driver stopped and made sure I was ok, called the police, and waited aroud to give a statement. Then Mr. State Tropper proceeded to right me a ticket just to make things worse.
So at this point I am trying to figure out how I am getting home, with a possible hurricane heaed straight for me. At first I was going to just stay in a hotel for the night, but then I just ended up gtting on a Greyhound bus. Very miserable experiance.
At around 4:00 today I finally got into Jacksonville. Now, I am left with figuring out how to get my car from Ruston, LA to Palm Beach, FL
As for my health, I'm a little sore from a combinaion of the accident and the trip home, but I am doing fine. My body is built to take a lot of abuse. Safe to say, most people would have sffered some sortof major injury in an accident like this.
I have decided to leave my car modding hobby for a couple years, till I can get out of school and get my life settled some. I will now be parting out everything I had been saving from my other SC for my new one, along with the entire new car. For anyone intereted in buying the car that was just wrecked feel free to PM me, but I would only suggest it for someone who can do all the work themselves. As I am sure you can guess, I am going to be hurting for cash, so partng it out will probaby be in my best intrest.
Let me know if I left any detail out, and thank you for all your well wishes
