^^ im curious to how long this will last as well. it would be great to get rid of all the ugly tan in my car without having to rewrap it or buy black pieces. from the pic it looks pretty good.

I didn't dye my seats, i'm using 97 black leather supra seats. I pretty much only dyed what was once brown. I used a dye called sems which holds up great. My friend dyed his whole interior 4 years ago and still looks as good as new.

the hardest parts to dye were the hard plastic pieces. I did many coats and so far even if i tried to scratch it off, it wont come off.

I used a total of about 8-10 cans at $9 each.

As for the carpet....brand new factory floor mats and RIT DYE.

*I used to have all black factory pieces but sold them and instead saved money and used dye.

bens paint supply here locally. I'm sure you can search for SEMS online and something will come up.

I honestly think if you could make the outsides of the seats tan like so(inside the red circles).... that would look awesome!

TRD, I agree with you on the tan peices for the seats. Ill do it when the black wears out since there are only 18K miles on these seats now.

are there any prep work you have to do before you put the dye on? if so what product do you guys use to prep it? also should i buy leather dye, would that work on all the brown interior pieces? im trying to buy everything all at once so i can dye everything brown to black at once.
