im sick of expensive performance shops. i just wanna get some mufflers welded on and get some pipe bent so they go on straight. you think meineke can handle this? they have been known to do custom exhaust in my town so i dont know....any experiences?

It all depends on the person doing the work. If you can try and talk to the person who would be doing the work and try to guage their competence. If you don't feel comfortable with them go elsewhere.
