Well, since everyone seems to be posting pics of their car this week, I guess I'll finally post some pics of mine. Since I got the car a month ago I've been pretty busy with it... but it will have A LOT of work to go. I'm almost all the way done with my carPC install after a looong week of working on it, and I have purchased my 1JZ engine swap and should be starting the install of that shortly. I will also be doing a lot of interior work, swap my tails for newer ones, HID retrofit, and who knows what else. Anyway, onto the pics! I will update as my carPC is finished and swap is started.
First a pic of my car... washed yesterday but already dirty... needs a full detail.
This is the first stage of molding in my LCD. I had to trim it to fit, then hold it in place with epoxy.
After one or two layers of bondo last week... then after a lot of sanding it now looks pretty nice... I will post the final picture of the dashboard tomorrow once I'm done painting it.
This is my CarPC... it's a full featured computer in a case small enough to fit easily into the SC glovebox. It isn't too fast, but has a DVD-rom drive and is perfect for MP3/DVD/CD/GPS/??
My LCD at night in the car... with my favorite SC300 on the desktop. (hope he doesn't mind!)
When the PC boots, instead of showing the XP boot screen with progress bar, my car now shows the Lexus logo with a progress bar underneath.
Just sitting in my garage waiting to be installed

I'll try to get some pics in the daylight today... I wanted to finish up on the LCD panel but that doesnt look like it's going to happen today, so it will still look pretty bad in the pic.
On a side note, I'm not stopping working on the panel until it looks perfectly OEM. Would anyone be interested in a LCD panel just like mine molded out of carbon fiber / fiberglass? I know someone that could probably give me a decent deal on reproducing what I will have done if there is enough interest. That way it'd already have the holes for the climate control and all you would have to do is mount the TV to the panel.
