I understand the problem quite well. I've had plenty of aftermarket widemouths so mesh just comes into play no matter what. You do need to fill the opening, but make sure you use satin finish black paint on the mesh.

haha going turbo and sticking a FMIC would be the ideal solution... but i'm done modding the car for the year unless i stumble in a 1jz for a ridiculous price

i've also toyed with the idea of a billet grill.... but i dunno.... with it being that big... i would think it would give it that truck look... it would have to be a grill similar to those found on a GS/LS

I think i'll go to home depot and see what kind of mesh i can get a hold of.... if not... i guess i'll just leave it

Leave it. Mesh looks cheap. Only great thing to fill that gap is an FMIC.

put a mesh there, it's worth it, i've caught so many things that i'd rather have in the mesh than the radiator. i just got a black one i ordered from summitracing.com
http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp
that's wat i bought.
they gave enough to cover the middle and the side openings.

if you go mesh, at least paint it black. silver mesh and billet are hideous.
