Two years ago when I was a newer member here we had a post flaming some car that was pretty nasty (to be truthful) and I can't recall wether or not I got a brick of that thread or not. I might have even gotten a response in, hard to recall.
Well it stayed open a little while and eventually it was closed by Dave if i recall, stating a very good post about how the Club Lexus community is more for a positive stance rather than a negative stance. These types of threads were non productive and made CL look like children bashing their own, much like .........let's say a Honda forum known for fighting (I'm sure I can name 10 or 12).
Our community back then was respectful and did a lot to keep their tounge tied when something was out of taste by making a comment that focused on the positive aspects, or simply gave a nod of disapproval and moved on.
With TON of newer members, I expect everyone to pitch in and show them the "ways" of CL on the values it was built on of community spirit. Threads like this simply cannot do that. It only shows we know how to talk down on another Lexus owner for his choices that he made and PAID FOR himself to make it his own.
I'm not a fan of the wing and I don't think the wheels work on the car , that's my stance. It's a review that's not negative, but get's my point across.
I'd like to think CL has not lost it's glory to the cross of changes that have passed over the last year particularly where demographics are changing as well as more members are coming into the forum. In doing so, I intend to do the same thing I watched the administrator do years ago when a similar thread was posted. Give and explanation and........
