They have real carbon fiber versions as well but they're not always available for every car. If you think about the weight savings and the money you save not painting them, the "full carbon" mirrors are the best deal. If you just want looks, go with the paintable metal (basic) with the blue lense. I know alof of guys in Japan who use the basic and just paint them black, regardless of the color of the car. Looks great.

sorry dude but the carbon ones weight the same if not more that the plastic one and I dont know where you live but having them painted is only $50 around here. With that said the only reason to get carbon fiber ones is for the looks. BTW you still may have to clear the carbon fiber ones for UV protection

2.5tsoarer,

You've got one sweet ride. What offsets are your wheels, and what size tires are you running? Did you custom order the 11" wide rears? I thought they only came up to 10.5"? Anyway, one hot SC. The mirrors look great too.

Plastic ones? Do you mean the fake carbon ones? I thought those were metal as well. All the ones I've seen have been metal. (aluminium) They're lighter than stock but still on the heavy side. Last time I was at the main office in Japan I saw we had a set of "full carbon" ones for the R33 GTR and they were much lighter. The outer coating on them already has UV protection.

BTW, nice car.

That's not a bad deal at all but why didn't you go with the blue lense?

Also, what offset to you run with your rear wheels. I have a set of 18x11 +19 on order so seeing your pics and wheel specs made me curious

Yeah they were a great deal since everyone else wants from $450 to $600
I had blue lenses on my last car and thought I would try the clear this time around. I can always tint them blue later.
offset is 28
