Default this is driving me crazy!!!!! HELP.....

i tried this in the electronic forum but nobody knew either.... maybe you guys can help me out.

so my light sensor goes on...
i check and learn that my left brake light is out.
take the housing out, and i change the bulb...
put it back together, check it... great all fixed. no sensor.

drive for a day... sensor goes back on.
now my left taillight is out.
this time i take both light housings out and replace all of the bulbs.
put it back together, check it... great! all is fixed.

drive for a day... sensor goes back on again.
this time my right blinker is out.
take out the housing and find that the bulb has shattered.
replace that... put it back together.. check it. Great! all is fine.

drive for a day... sensor goes back on... WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this time all the lights are fine...
although my lisence plate lights are out. i know i know... so i changed that..., but the funny thing is those lights have never worked since i got the car 3 months ago! so i didn't think that they were connected to any of the sensors. am i wrong?

is there something i need to reset to turn this light sensor off?

If your bulbs keep going out, look for any frayed.
i can't point out where to start looking but i think you could start by where the bulb is plugged in.

Yeah, it could be a short somewhere, check all the connections and follow the wires back a bit to make sure none are frayed or anything.

not sure if this will help, but you could replace the fuse with a smaller Amp fuse. You should be blowing a fuse before you blow your new bulbs.

You have a short somewhere and can drive yourself crazy trying to find it.

Maybe sure that someone did not "bridge" the fuse holder with a paper clip or something... this happens sometimes to make a quick ffx in lieu of the correct fuse but always make more work later.

good luck.

Don't you mean MY Saturday?

I had a thought, though... have you checked your brake fluid?

Sounds like gremlins in the electricals... Well, since it seems like all the bulbs are going out, but not the same one twice, It could just be that the bulbs have reached the end of their life cycle? If it was a short or leak or something, I would expect the same bulb(s) to burn out continually. Has it rained or have you washed your car recently? Check the harness connectors for each tail and the one by the antenna under the jack. Also check the 3rd brake light. Sounds fishy...

Do you have a multimeter handy?
Measure what is the voltage that is coming out of all the bulbs that burnt out.
It should show 12volts i believe.
I hope some members with electrical knowledge could chime in cause i am not too sure with the low voltage result.
I will have to look it up on what to look for if it is low voltage in the bulbs.
