RodF,

I don't mind waiting for the SC.. My lease on the GS isn't up till September 10 and if the car does get delayed beyond that point my dealership will extend my GS lease at their expense (Can't beat that deal.. Might get a month or so of driving for free).. The other thing I hope is that some of the initial bugs that some of you have experienced will have been worked out of the SC by the time I get mine..

Besides we don't get navigation in our cars up here in Canada (Really upset about that).. Still don't understand why they haven't mapped this country yet.. Oh well..

2SAVVY -

Don't feel bad. The navigation system isn't an option here in Hawaii either. I guess not that you would need it here. Just drive toward's the water and you'll never get lost!

Default Side moldings

Actually, I just had a local body shop do it. They were going to paint the moldings to match first, but when we looked at it the color was so close that there was no need to. This way, if the moldings get scratched, the color doesn't change (as the color goes all the way through the moldings).

You can't tell from the picture, but there actually is a small black molding around the wheel wells that protect against someone opening their door and hitting there. You can't even really tell its there when you look at it in person!

I figured that moldings would not enhance the looks of the car, but it would certainly look better than a big ding in the door.

Good eye there Genearch.. I must of been concentrating too much on the rims but the moldings Rod don't look too bad.. Sort of breaks up the fluidity of the lines of the car but like you said the protection is the pay back..

Never really thought but the SC really could be a door ding target because of the roundness (Is that a word) of the doors.. Oh well.. Small price to pay I suppose and there is always the paintless dent repair guys out there if need be..

Default Dents

Worse than a dent would be a scratch in the paint. I was sitting in my car when a guy drives up, parks in a "compact" stall right next to me with a huge SUV. Opens his door and hits mine. Jerk acts like nothing happened and doesn't even apologize. If not for the molding, my car would have had a pretty significant scratch.
