Talk about customer service....they (TireRack) told me the rims would get to me no sooner than next week, and they got here today! Already stuck 'em on the car. Man does it need the lowering springs now......ugh MAN do these things have some grip....ahh yes...the sports car characteristics are dfinally coming out.

Default very nice wheels!

Nice wheels you have there!!! I'm jealous..I put 1999 GS300 rims on (16")...they're nice, but the ones you have are a really natural fit!

Nice nice nice!!!!

Wiz,

What sizes did you get.

They look like 245/45 18's or something. Tires a little to thick maybe?

It should look really good lowered. Those are nice rims.

They're 245/40/18's. I didn't want to go with a 35, as I wanted a little more of a softer ride. I figured this would be a good compromise for sport and driveability. From what I've tested so far, they're great! I can't wait to get it lowered and get a kit on it!

Anyone have any input on the Bomex kits? Are they any good?

Talking Same rims!

Those are exactly the same rims I put on my SC 430, after an exhaustive search of the internet, etc.

Boy, do they match the car and look beautiful.

The satin finish is not to shiny, but shinier than just painted wheels. They really look cool .

You have any pics of them on your 430? I'd love to see that!

THose wheels do look great on that car too! Kickass! Now when I upgrade to one of those....I can keep the rims.

I found a place that sells the Bomex kit for only $1149 for all parts including the wing. I don't like the wing, but it's only $14 more to get it with the kit from this place. Resell on eBay! Shipping time on the kit is 5 days across the US, a couple days in CA, they have a few in stock. I still cant decide tho....i want to go ahead and get the turbo....but if i wait a couple months on that....i can get everything else I want (nos, kit, paint, etc.) but then I won't have the turbo for NOPI.

Ugh

RodF,

Are you still using the Run Flat tires with the new rims.. By the way 2 thumbs up on your wheel choice.. Much better than the stock setup.. Thanks for posting the pic.. I'm still waiting for my Silver SC..

Default Run flats with rims

2SAVVY -

I am still using the run flats.
One of the reasons I chose those rims was because they were supposed to be sensor compatable.

The sensor light stays on now, and the shop that I bought the rims from is researching the issue. They are confident that they can get it working. Otherwise I will take it to the dealer to have the computer reset, which presumably will fix the problem.

I am very satisfied with the way it turned out. To me, it was the one touch missing from the car (other than the bass on the sub, which I enhanced). Now if only I could find a way to do something with my stock rims, which seem to be hard to sell .

Good choice on the silver. Of course I'm biased, but I think it is a striking color on the lines of that car.

Question Size of picture

BTW, sorry about the size of the picture I posted. I cropped it down so it was only 50k, but some how it came out large. It's the first time I ever posted a picture, and I don't know why it did that

RodF,

Did they (Where you had your rims/tires installed) dismantle the sensors on the factory wheels or supply compatible ones??

Just curious because I got compatible sensors with the Lowenharts I bought because the place I purchased my rims told me that dismantling the factory ones were too hard to do.. Since I don't have my car yet I can't confirm this but maybe you can give me some insight on this..

Default New rims

2SAVVY -

They dismantled the factory sensors and moved it over. Maybe that's why they are having problems. Hopefully they can solve it but worst case scenario I'll have the dealer fix it at my next service.

BTW, I noticed that you will be waiting a couple of months for your car. Believe it or not, I walked in off the street to my dealer and bought a car immediately, had it delivered 1 day after I committed, no waiting list.

If you don't want to wait, I can see if they have available stock. Let me know.

RodF
