When an actual Toyota Engineer from Corporate, is ABSOLUTELY FASCINATED, the same way normal people are upon seeing a Ferrari.
(True story, and not only did he want a ride in it; he knew more about my car than I did, including the story of how they designed the door hinges, which apparently are sumtin' really special ... Then he gave me a FREE Toyota hat, just for taking him for a lap round the shopping center ... LOL).

Hahaha, yeah dude, check it out, it's the real deal
He was cool too, but I never woulda thought that having seen my SC in the parking lot simply, woulda "wow'ed" someone that way.
He was tellin' me all about how in like '94, this was the car to have; that all the corporate exec's and CEO's wanted the Sc300. It pulled ALL the *** ...
He pivoted the head-rests, and everything, like REALLY scrutinized the car, he knew it inside & out
(of course, he helped design it ...). I told 'em I had exhaust & coilovers, etc. He was just blown away, like:
"This cars practically new; what'd you say '97? ... And I know they're out there, but to find one as clean as this is just wonderful. Look, the leathers still good, etc. This is really an outstanding car; they're just beautiful ... Thank you so much."
THEN! He called another guy! LOL!
He had a walkie talkie, Nextel type thing, and along came another Engineer, and he was just as into it (but he didn't want a ride, he just wanted to sit in the back seat, so he could admire how spacious it was) ...
I was like "Yeah man, Im glad ya's like it"
'Cus y'know pfff, Im happy to show off my car, as well as to meet anybody who likes SC's as much as I do, yknow?
It was all good, haha.

You know you're an SC driver if..........
-you see an SC in the parking lot and you park right next to it just cause you know they'll understand
-The black paint on your doors is chipping out and it's making your SC look bad :\
-You still see that SC in the parking lot and you're looking all around the car and peeking into the windows just to see what they have in comparison to you.
-(My favorite) You see another SC on the road and you're driving by thinking "Yeahhhh buddyyyyyy!"

- if your car never gets fixed no matter how many times you fix it.
- save money for new "fun parts" but the above happens and its yet another set back.
i've been through a new rebuilt ecu the 1st year i had it, new motor the 2nd year i owned it, now I need new front lca's and tie rods and another CEL related to air fuel/iat. stupid car why do i love you so!

That's a funny story CityKnight!
And your friends are also amazed to see the automatic self tinting rear view mirror, and the rear view mirror visor.
When your friends are amazed by the flip out cupholder.

Thanks ya'll, Im glad you's like my story
I think the back is pretty spacious actually; 'cus my friends have long legs, and they fit fine.
I used to drive a Lancer, and they all tell me that they feel more comfortable in the SC.
Also, if you look at our seats (the backside), they're curved inward, as tho to allow more leg room for the rear passengers. Compared to other sports cars/sports coupes, they don't even have "real" back seats.
