edogg,
I went to Vista Lexus. Its on Ventura and like Canoga in the Valley. Each bulb was 4.95 including the sleeve. The back ones even came with the plastic mounting! I'm sure any dealer can order them for you and they will be the same absurd price.
I work in Azusa so if you find a dealer in your area that has them in stock let me know. That way I can get them on Monday instead of Tuesday or Wednesday or whenever Vista gets them in. (I haven't paid yet, just placed the order)

i got the bulb today at Lexus of Tucson. they were 4.00 a blub with a 10% discount for good customer status. i payed 19+change for four bulbs, i got the green sleaving. i was going to do blub Backlighting but you cannot replace the radio LCD. also they told me you cannot replce the button on the ac panal, only the bulbs for the LCD is available. i had then double check and they said that they did not carry the bulb for the bottons for the a/c. If anyone can prove me wrong then please do, also give the bulb number. I will be trying to do mine tonight so will post some info soon.

Word of advice to lexus owners,
Dont believe the parts people behind the counter. Always, ask else
where to see if the info is the same and not contradiciting. My local lexus
dealer screwed up by giving me wrong a/c part and it ended up costing
extra 2 hours of labor(the part was a small rubber seal for r134 instead of
R12 system). Even though I asked the parts rep to DOUBLE check he still
insisted that he was giving me the right part, what an ***!
my 2 cents,

I called Vista Lexus to make sure they had my bulbs. They didn't.
The guy ordered the wrong bulbs even after I asked him 75 times to be sure to order the right ones. He promised me he'd get the right ones tomorrow. I called the well praised Longo Lexus today and first they hung up on me. I called again and the guy couldn't figure out what bulbs I was talking about. He said there's only 3 bulbs total in the A/C. Finally when he figured out what I wanted, he said he would have to special order them and charge me $11.50 for each bulb!! I wouldn't be surprised if Vista raises the price if they finally get them in.
Definately not having the "Lexus Experience"
And driving around with no air conditioning isn't helping either (Southern California Heat!)

I got really frustrated with lexus. They could only get the screw on bulbs. They couldn't get the soldered in bulbs. I ended up using turn-signal bulbs from the RX. I took them out of the plastic socket and reused my old sleeves. They are almost the same size and are working for now. Good luck to all who decide to attempt it.
I saw a recent post asking for these directions so I'm posting those pictures that I promised. Don't think they would help much but maybe give someone the courage they need.

When I opened up the unit, there were already blue sleeves on the bulbs. Those are the same sleeves that they will sell you with the bulb if you buy a new one. The color when dislplayed, however, does not look blue to me. It is the stock color, same as the radio, and in my opinion is green. If anyone told me there was blue sleeving over the bulbs I would not have believed them had I not seen them myself. (you can see them in the picture). If your bulbs are not burned out, I would not reccommend opening it up.
