I like the look of the clears myself. On a black SC W/ chrome emblems and wheels , I think it would look really good.
I also just think any of the tails look better in either all red or clear. It really sets off the view from behind. I did my 93 tails all red, and i think it looks awesome . And its an easy low $$ mod you can do yourself too.

My comments are not meant to reflect upon the wonderful cars sporting these lamps but my personal preference on the different types of rear lamps and the supposition that "newest aint always best".

The 97's make the car much classier looking in my opinion. With all the 2-4k SC300's popping up it will start making a difference in standing out.

Those are Moda R6's...I believe Cloud9 is selling a set in the classifies...

I vote for the 97+ as well...

I've had the, 92-94 style, 95-96 style, 95-96 style with clear bottoms, and now the 97+...

They bubble out just a tad and doesn't look so flat/sunken in on the newer style bumpers...

I forgot to answer your question after admiring all the SCs on here, Yes those are the Moda R6's, they have been made in 17"s 18"s & 19"s to the best of my recollection. You can find them on ebay from time to time. New a set of 4 18"s cost around $1000.

The Lexus emblems is a either a custom fab or is just using lexus centercaps, found on ebay as well. Fabbing center caps is not that complicated. Those are beautiful wheels that fit the SC perfectly (in terms of style at least). Along with the center caps making those wheels look like they "belong" on the car, I give Clint 11 out of 10 on his choice here. That is without a doubt the best aftermarket wheel upgrade if have ever seen on ANY Lexus! IMO of course.

The GS has very similar wheels available in at least 17" which is a good alternative for someone who is looking to save some money while still retaining a similar look. You can find 17" GS wheels for about $500 for used or new replicas, just be careful of the replicas
