Took my SC to the track...
Very dissapointed. Out of about 10 runs the best I could do was 16.4. I thought the SC3 does 15.7 stock?? I was really hoping for around 15.2. My mods are custom exhaust with magnaflow race series mufflers, bfi, lightenend crank pulley. I guess it has somethin to do with the fact that I have 245k miles. Only cars I could beat were an F150 and a CRX. For some reason I kept getting lined up with 12 second Evos.

15.7 stock? I know of a 5-speed that only got a 15.9. 16.4 is about average for an auto imo. I think your auto right? Give that baby a tune up and hit up the track again. What crank pulley did you end up w/?

Yea, Im auto. The car had a tune up around 15k miles ago. I think Im going to try putting some seafoam in there and see if that helps. I thought my compression was almost normal... sure felt like it when I drove. I ended up with an Unorthodox pulley... I know I know.. its only temporary till I get my 1jz. And as for going to the track again.. I dont think I will anytime soon. 95% of the cars were 13 or less. Its funny though when I pulled up to the pit... all these people started taking pics of my car. They probably thought it was a sleeper or something. Little did they know its just SLOW.

that times sounds good to me for around 4000lb total with driver and 200hp. Are u leaving the light at idle or stalling it up a bit? Stock stall is like 2100 isnt it?

turn off your a/c
dont forget the car is not that fast so that might be a part of it. Depending on how your BFI is set up, you might see some really good gains by pulling out your headlight. Last time i was at the track with an NA supra, i ran a few consistant 16.2s runs, pulled the headlight and ran a bunch of 15.7s (was one of those track days where it wasnt crowded so i got in around 9 runs

My rule:
Never take anything slower then 17 seconds to the track
hahah I just realized how thick your tires were, comon man, you don't need that much rubber when you're NA
