I think the car looked perfect before, and now it has a black hood that is out of place.

I don't like Cf hoods. Unless you track your car it's an eyesore IMO. It looks like you busted something up and went to the junkyard to find a replacement. Not a "complete" car.

Your profile says 92 SC400 so you just put a CF hood on an N/A automatic with pretty wheels and gold emblems. I don't think I can approve of this one. To me it's just like sticking stickers on a car to see if it goes faster.

Not meaning to be harsh either, if you like it who cares. I used one small CF accent on my bimmer that was less than 2 inches wide. Even then, i felt guilty.

Who made it and where did you get and for how much. Im all for weight savings but If I ever get a CF Hood it will be painted. Unless everybody part is carbon fiber it doesnt look freat to me. Sometimes(Integra type-r) but not all ways(SC's) little accents are ok. These arnt Hondas now.

Sorry, but gotta agree with OLT on this one.

I've never liked carbon fiber hoods, even on black cars.

For me, it just reminds me of the old days when I was broke as heck and I had primered body parts on my car. The car looks "unfinished".

But if you like it, that's all that matters.

I also agree with OLT. If you are going to get gf for the right reasons (weight loss) then step up and wait until you an afford the real dry cf vertex hood and paint it. That is my plan so that the sc will still be sleeper whlie putting 650 rwhp to the ground and having a quiter than most exhaust. Most on the board are of the keep it clean look but if you like it then do it.

Carbon Fiber does look cool, but you can always paint it....or portions of it....
Heck, if you like it, don't change a thing....

lookin' good. burgandy sc's represent.
but like OLT said, i really dont like how it has a black CF hood on a SC.
i mean, come on, its a lexus, now a ricer honda. whenever i see a CF hood, it reminds me of a ricer car. but, all in all, it looks great. good job.
by the way, not trying to jack ur thread, but how does a painted CF hood look like? would it be darker then the rest of the body color?

Yea, he is just showing the quality of the hood and how shiny/reflective it is.
