Can the trunk hinges wear out?

I've noticed that with mine there are times it just does not stay open, a little breeze can shut it or some condensation on the rear deck lid makes it harder to stay open

any thoughts

very common for the struts to wear out. if you do a quick search for trunk struts, you will find the cure.

Not only can they wear out, they will. It's one of those things that just happens with all SCs. Here it is tho. The easiest DIY to follow ever thanks to Howiedoit and PERRYinLA:
